NAPAGE is a parent support/advocacy group. We are the North Allegheny chapter of the Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education (PAGE). PAGE is a nonprofit advocacy group dedicated to helping gifted learners, parents and educators. You can visit their website at www.giftedpage.org for more information.

NAPAGE’s mission is to advocate for and support gifted children and their families in the North Allegheny School District. We accomplish this by:

• Providing parent representation to NA’s SSAC (Student Services Advisory Committee)

• Sharing experiences, concerns and successes

• Proactively addressing issues that arise

• Encouraging the use of best practices in gifted education

Seeking members to fulfill these roles in the 2023-2024 and beyond

• President

• Vice President

• Treasurer

  • Manages finances of the group (membership payments, membership to local PAGE group, payments for speakers etc.)

• Secretary (and Social Media/Web Management)

  • Takes notes and posts to website

  • Manages website (Google site)

  • Assists with posts to Facebook (and Twitter)

Seeking members to fulfill these roles at most buildings in NA

• Act as a liaison between NAPAGE and their home buildings. (Share info at PTA/PFA meetings, Middle School Coffee, or High School Counselor/Coffee sessions)

• Share experiences, concerns and successes from their perspective of their home buildings.

• Direct other families to NAPAGE who may be interested in more about what we do
